a double scuba tank bottle with some crepe in 

Beach stuff like swim ring and spade 

Cardboard boat – already ready.

GLOVES – for each scientist for your up down all around part. Make them as whacky as possible –  – EACH MUALIM YOURSELF

Extra large tooth brush for actor 2

Mosque 

 

Scientists finish intro and then change for next part where I will engage with audience for a bit. 

 

narrator to ask: 

So, dear friends from MeandMawla, have you seen Mr. 2T.

 

Mr. 2T?????? (actor 1 and crowd asks)

 

Yah! Mr. 2T

 

Who’s Mr. 2 T? (actor 1 asks loudly)

 

You guys don’t know Mr. 2 T

 

Oh My God! Mr. 2 T!!!!!!! I wonder if the super sa’ah scientists know Mr. 2T

 

Suddenly actor 2 pops out from the back looking like shes just got out of bed and yawns 

Yawwwwnnnn sound – actor 2 to do herself

and gets up to go brush her teeth.

 

Ch ch ch ch ch ch ch – you brush your teeth! 

Ch ch ch ch ch ch ch – you brush your teeth!

 

actor 3 and narrator to be dressed as Mr. 2 T 

Do moves here and show the 2 T and scuba tanks behind back which get full of colourful crepe and chichra as tank gets full of thank yous. actor 2 to put chichra and crepe inside the tank

I go about my day, Mr. 2 T joins me and shouts

Fill up my tank! Fill up my tank!

Mr. 2T – Think and Thank!

I think about the blessing, I’m in.

I thank Allah for it, and fill up the tank

 

Thank you Allah for my teeth and the water I use to help me brush my teeth. (actor 2 say yourself)

Just then, miss woggle comes on stage with beach stuff, exaggerated 

Yipee it’s a beautiful sunny day for the beach. Scaler actor 2! You want to join me. I wanna swim in the waves and build a sandcastle

 

Sure, Miss Woggle! I would love to join you. Let me get my stuff. 

 

actor 2 and actor 4 go to the beach and park themselves there and pretend to swim

 

actor 3 and narrator to come out of the ocean here

Nautical actor 5 joins the party and brings some drinks. 

Nautical actor 5 joined her friends at the beach. She took them for a boat ride and showed them some of the wonders under the sea. 

 

Later, the friends returned to the beach. They heard the azan, the call to prayer. 

 

actor 3 and narrator to come here and as they pray, we fill up the tank for each other from the pockets or bags of the praying ones

So my dear MeandMawla friends, does Mr.2T live inside you?

 

He’s got 2 T’s because we  T – think and then T Thank. 

When we do that, we fill up the tank. 

When the tank is full, it means we have understood the kindness of Allah and thanked Him for it. We sparkle and we shine. Allah says you are sooooo special, I want to give you a special special name and a special special place. 

You are the shakireen, the thankful ones and a very special place awaits for you built by what you fill in your tank.

Wa kum minas shakireen

And be among the thankful ones 7: 144

 

Thanking Him means knowing He.

Knowing Him means thanking Him

 

Lets hop outside and make out very own Mr. 2 T

 

STATIONS

Qul Quran – actor 2

Wa Kum minash shakireen

Do a small puppet show with just your finger and draw face with marker on your finger. This person was always doing Shukr, thanking Allah and others. He is known as Mr 2 T. His other name is Shakir and his thankfulness spread far and wide and as you do that, more fingers get eyes and a smiley mouth and the whole world became thankful, the thankful ones, the shakireen. Lots of mr 2T’s. Then show them on the white board the letters that make shukr – sh ka ra

Then add alif, harakat ya and na to make it shakireen

Children then play the game with the dice and build on their white boards the word shakireen. 

Using large dice. Children get to role and each number represents a letter. 

They role and write on little white boards, the ones they get and make shakireen

 needed to make shakireen. Sha alif kha raa ya na

Shukr means to thank, One person is a Shakir, Together Shakireen

In the car on the way home, tell them to tell a story using their fingers as the puppets and how one person’s thankfulness spread and it became shakireen.

Talk about the qualities of a Shakir. They are constantly thankful for what they have and see everything as blessings for which grateful. This shows they recognize the giver. This makes them humble. For purple, you can add on that then they also become the khashieen. When you are thankful for what you have, then in trying times, you will exercise patience and gratitude, hence making you the patient ones also, sabr – sabireen. So thankfulness is such a great quality that leads to many more great qualities. Purple group can actually write out these words on their white boards to see how the words follow a similar pattern. Possibly ask them to find out 2 more groups of people mentioned in the quran as a take home.

 

Art – actor 1

Make Mr 2T – 

Use a jar and the sketch of Mr 2T which they decorate and every night they write a thank you to Allah for something.

Crayons and Sticking, glue on the Mr 2T to the jar. 

 

Cooking. – actor 5 / narrator 

Enjoy making some yummy truffles. Children get a rolling pin and need to crush the biscuit. While doing this, talk about the ability to use force, hand pressure, palms to achieve the crush. Then pour into their own bowls and mix with a t spoon of sweet milk, a little drink chocolate and roll in coconut powder. 

Mr 2T features here with thankfulness for the ingredients, the hands, palms, muscles, eyes to see what I am doing, tongue to taste and swallow. Children make just one truffle and eat them right there. 

 

Movement – actor 3

In this station, we want to put Mr 2T to the test. Children get to understand the blessings they have and apply the concept of Mr 2T.

 

Do several tasks with out the use of one of our faculties and realize the challenge of not having the use of this blessing Allah has bestowed. Mr 2T, think and thank Allah.

 

Blind folds on and do super simple puzzle or walk on a path.

 

Tie a stick to your leg or arm so it cant bend and try and walk or do hand work without bending.

 

Play chinese whispers where using only one ear. 

 

Tie one hand at the back and try and catch a beach ball

 

Put your dominant hand at the back and you need to write, balance a tray with a glass.

 

Close your nose and breathe. How long can you do it? All will end up opening their nose to take a breath. Mr 2T

 

For eyes and blindfold them and ask them each to put on a certain colour socks and have a tray with several different coloured socks and once they have put it on, they remove blind fold to see if they managed to get it right. 

Make them realize the value of seeing. Matching your clothes is such a blessing that calls for Mr 2T

He created you, completed you and made you symmetrical

 

For PURPLE: 

Begin by asking the girls to wear a Sheila with both hands and have mirror and how they like the colour and the look etc. Let them enjoy it. 

Now ask them to tie it with one hand only. How much longer did it take?

Now ask them to tie it with one hand and blind folded. When you do this, put them all in a bunch and they need to try and get the same colour they began with. At the end, do a big reveal to see did they get the right colour, how did they manage without using eyes as well as one hand. 

Allow them to now feel the gratefulness for what Allah has blessed us with. Mr 2T features here and they can think and thank. 

 

older kids/ younger too, we can numb their hands by placing inside a bag of ice so fingers do not bend and now they have to write something or wear a pair of gloves. Make it challenging maybe with only one hand.

 

For nose. Blind fold and allow them to guess some spices. Now imagine if you did not have a sense of smell and sight. How do you know what to add. You can talk about Braille here. But focus on the gratitude. At each point, call Mr 2T so they get used to him featuring in our lives. 

 

For legs: Play a simple game of someone walk to the other side and then come back and hop to the other side and you can time it on your phone. How much longer did it take to hop. Now imagine all my day, I had to hop. Our legs are blessings. Mr. 2T.

 

Purple group make their very own  Mr 2T using some amazing art technique

 

Purple group can also cook and make their own truffles and eat them right there.
